about me

The three most important things you need to know about me:

1. I get it, because I do the same kinds of things you do.

2. I can't "fix" you because you are not "broken". I can however, help "unlock" you and get more movement in your body.

3. I am convinced that if my body can be healed, anyone's can!

If you want to know a little more about me, please keep reading.

My condensed biography:

When I was a teenager, my French teacher had us memorize expressions and songs.  The one that always seemed to resonate with me was "Je ne suis pas bien dans ma peau" which means " I am not feeling well in my skin today".  Since then, I have been on a lifelong quest of learning how to be happy in my body.

Having always been physically active, (most currently triathlons and mountain biking) but at the same time always plagued with pain, muscle weakness, structural imbalances, nerve problems and acute and chronic injuries. I was incredibly frustrated, especially because every health care provider and bodyworker I ever saw gave up on me. In 2003,  I added the word celiac to my vocabulary, and took all forms of gluten out of my diet. Changing my eating habits definitely changed my life, but that was only the beginning of what was a long, often times painful and incredibly frustrating healing process.

This path to being happy in my own hide has been an interesting journey to say the least. From my years teaching and instructing at Outward Bound, to the kitchen as a pastry chef, to where I am now as an artist and "body coach", I have had the opportunity to study and explore many different healing modalities including deep tissue massage, sport and clinical massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy,
ARTŪ, Cranial Sacral, Neuromuscular Reprogramming, osteopathic techniques, clairvoyance, intuition, meditation, energy work, chakras, mandalas, and healing with whole foods. I am currently a candidate for a MA in Transformative Art.

I see the body as the ultimate artistic masterpiece- we are all works in progress. We are always in the process of "something" and will never be finished. It's the the onion principle- one layer gets uncovered only to discover something else that needs to be addressed. It's part of being human, and what makes life interesting.

I truly believe that if my body can be healed, anyone's can. I look forward to helping you unlock your body so that you can continue to do the things you love to do!

May you be happy!
